NeuroEducation Services

When Learning Feels Hard, Understanding Why Matters, But Having Solutions Matters Even More

Specialized NeuroEducation Consulting, Literacy, & Cognitive Services for Children, Teens & Adults

Supporting Neurodivergent Learners

NeuroEducation services may be particularly relevant for learners with profiles associated with:

Dyslexia & Reading Difficulties • ADHD • Autism • Language-Based Learning Difficulties • Executive-Function Challenges • Other Learning Differences

Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach, we focus on understanding how the individual learner processes information and learns.

The goal is not to change who the learner is but to increase their capacity to learn.

It is to better understand their strengths, needs, differences, and goals, and explore supports that may help them thrive.

When Learning Doesn’t Come Easily

Is your child working hard but still struggling with reading, attention, processing, memory, or schoolwork?

Do you wonder why something that seems easy for others can feel so difficult for your child?

Sometimes, learning challenges are about more than trying harder.

Differences in the way a person processes, attends to, and remembers information can influence how they read, communicate, or learn, affecting how they experience school, work, and everyday life.

At Kidz Mpowered, our NeuroEducation services bring together knowledge of neuroscience, cognitive science, psychology, education, and literacy to better understand the individual learner’s difficulties and explore meaningful ways to support their development.

Understand the learner. Discover what may be getting in the way. Explore the path forward.

Every learner is different.

A child may work incredibly hard and still struggle with reading. Another may understand information but have difficulty processing it quickly. Someone else may know what they want to say but struggle to organize their thoughts or communicate them.

Learning challenges may involve:

  • Reading (decoding, fluency, or comprehension)
  • Attention and focus
  • Memory and processing
  • ·Executive functioning
  • Language-based learning
  • Auditory or visual processing
  • Dyslexia and other reading difficulties
  • ADHD or autism-related learning needs
  • Academic failure despite significant effort
  • Frustration, confidence, or motivation related to learning

Sometimes the question isn’t, “Why aren’t they trying harder?” It’s “What is blocking my childs learning? And what approach might help them thrive?”.

Understanding how learning happens can change the way we support them.

What Is NeuroEducation?

Connecting Knowledge About the Brain, Cognition & Learning

NeuroEducation is an interdisciplinary approach that brings together knowledge from neuroscience, cognitive science, psychology, education, and literacy to better understand how the brain learns and apply this knowledge to inform educational practices and interventions.

It helps bridge the gap between what we know about the brain, cognition, and learning and how we teach, support, and intervene with learners.

NeuroEducation considers areas such as:

  • Brain development and neuroplasticity
  • Attention and executive functioning
  • Memory and processing
  • Reading and language development
  • Auditory and visual processing
  • Cognitive and learning skills
  • Learning challenges
  • The relationship between emotion, motivation, stress, and learning

NeuroEducation is not a technology, program, or treatment. It is an interdisciplinary framework that helps guide how we understand and support learning.

Our NeuroEducation Services

Three Ways We Support the Learner

At Kidz Mpowered, our NeuroEducation services include NeuroEducation Consulting, Neuralign®, and the Tomatis® Method.

Each offers a different approach and may be considered individually or together according to each person’s needs, profile, goals, and circumstances.

NeuroEducation Consulting

From Understanding Learning to Meaningful Support

NeuroEducation Consulting helps families and educators better understand a learner’s strengths, areas of difficulty, and educational needs.

Learning-Profile Consultation

Exploring a learner’s strengths, challenges, and educational needs to propose meaningful next steps.

Psychoeducational & Assessment Report Review

Helping families understand psychoeducational, neuropsychological, speech-language, or school reports and what the findings may mean for learning.

Literacy & Reading Consultation

Specialized consultation related to reading development, including:

Phonological Awareness • Decoding • Fluency • Vocabulary • Comprehension • Written Expression

Individualized Educational Recommendations

Identifying evidence-informed learning strategies, instructional approaches, interventions, accommodations, and supports based on the learner’s individual profile.

Parent & Educator Consultation

Helping families and educators understand assessment findings, explore educational supports, prioritize recommendations, and translate recommendations into practical  strategies.

Intervention Planning & Coordination

Helping identify appropriate evidence-informed interventions, coordinate recommendations among professionals, review progress, and adjust support when appropriate.

Literacy & Reading Expertise

Understanding the Building Blocks of Reading

Reading is a complex skill involving multiple cognitive and language processes.

When reading does not develop as expected, understanding which skills may be contributing to the difficulty can help guide appropriate support.

Specialized literacy consultation may consider:

  • Language development
  • Phonological awareness
  • Decoding
  • Reading fluency
  • Vocabulary
  • Reading comprehension

Assessment findings and the learner’s individual profile can help guide targeted literacy recommendations and intervention planning.

 Neuralign®

Supporting Skills Involved in Reading & Learning

Neuralign® is a computer-guided program using structured exercises designed to support skills involved in reading and learning.

The program includes exercises targeting areas such as:

Reading Fluency • Visual Tracking • Attention • Memory • Processing Speed • Executive Functioning

Neuralign® is available for children ages 6+, teens, and adults.

It may be considered for individuals experiencing reading and learning difficulties, including profiles associated with dyslexia or ADHD, as well as individuals seeking to strengthen skills involved in reading and learning.

Neuralign® services are provided through an individualized process designed around the learner’s needs and goals.

 Tomatis® Method

Auditory-Based Support for Learning & Development

The Tomatis® Method is a sound-based auditory neurostimulation approach that uses specially processed music and voice to provide personalized auditory stimulation.

The approach focuses on the relationship between the ear, brain, and body and may support areas such as:

Auditory Processing • Attention • Communication • Coordination • Learning • Emotional Regulation

The Tomatis® Method is a non-invasive approach available for children, teens, and adults.

A Whole-Learner Approach

Understand. Connect. Support. Empower.

Learning is complex, and every learner is different.

We look beyond the difficulty to better understand the whole learner — their strengths, learning profile, needs, and goals.

Through specialized consultation, literacy expertise, and targeted programs, we help families move from uncertainty toward greater understanding, confidence, and meaningful next steps.

You don’t have to figure it out alone.

Not Sure Where to Start?

You don’t need to know exactly what your child needs before reaching out.

If you’re concerned about reading, attention, auditory processing, learning, or academic challenges, a consultation can help you better understand your child’s strengths, needs, and learning profile and explore appropriate next steps.

Start with understanding.

We’ll help you make sense of your concerns and explore what approach may be most appropriate for your individual learner.
